Who Is MzMo?

Monique “MzMoPhila” Powe, born and raised in Boston, has always had a love for her city, the people and our culture! As a radio personality, media platform curator/producer, public speaker and MC, Mo’s distinct tone and warm inviting energy fills every space she’s in. 

Monique has taken the knowledge and experience gained throughout the years to curate a curriculum for students to create their own media platform. Providing innovative systems and exercises that help scholars develop skills in scripting, editing, production and promotion. It’s her purpose to provide a safe space for creativity, innovation and empowerment for scholars to showcase the brightest parts of themselves. 

Deemed as “The Sultry Voice of the City”, she has had a prominent hand in transforming the narrative of Boston’s creative scene. Her coined greeting “Hey Family” is much more than just a phrase. Every experience and partnership thus far has birthed an organic and divine connection creating her ever growing extended family!
